Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
The audible devices such as motion alarms or back-up alarms produce sound that has to be very loud to be heard above the noise which the forklift makes in the operating area.
The sound generated by the audio device must be distinguishable from other audible devices or noises from the work environment. The sound must also be different from the other sound or audible devices within the work place. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care should be taken.
Hearing protection makes it really harder to hear the audible device and to distinguish which distance and direction it is coming from. Audible devices can sometimes get disabled from both employees and operators because they could find them irritating. In addition, audible devices may also be objectionable to residents nearby.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help prevent injuries and lessen other issues. Moreover, these cabs feature an emergency exit through window removal. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator is able to choose the performance need for the particular use. Furthermore, it allows a supervisor to set the maximum performance of a unit for an operator who is just beginning to learn. Being able to lessen and adjust the maximum performance of the unit allows a new operator to learn the operating characteristics of the equipment in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is deactivated, a supervisor is needed to enable and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machinery in a more controlled way.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These specific mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
