Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A kind of equipment which could carry loads that are approximately 30,000 lbs is a forklift. A forklift is also called a counterbalance. Despite being large and sturdy, these industrial machines still bear the potential risk of accident or crash. In order to be safe, be sure to have operators put on the right seat belt inside the forklift and make certain that up to standard safety features are on board. People know that seat belts can save lives in the event of an accident.
Three-Point Seat Belt
The kinds of seat belts that can extend both over the lap and across the upper body are the three-point seat belts. These belts provide an added degree of safety by protecting your body. They are available in both bench-seat and buckle-seat kinds. The 3-point seat belts are available in either non-retractable or retractable styles.
Most modern motor vehicles available provide retractable seat belts. Though non-retractable kinds increase safety, retractable types offer much more comfort. It is not possible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
The kind of seat belt which only extends over the lower portion of the body is a two-point lap belt. Most lap belts feature a push-button closure system and are non-retractable. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The circuit-closed seat belts are the type that force forklift operators to wear a seat belt. These seat belts have a micro-switch attached that sounds an alarm if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both non-retractable and retractable lap-band types.
