Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks provide height and versatility. These units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the individual using it to lift the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks could not move the cargo away from and towards the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is required.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is meant to raise personnel is referred to as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
