The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been outfitted with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined places during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were previously inaccessible by typical jibs. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This particular feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system that allows for precious time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be fully raised simultaneously. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing efficiency and productivity.
