Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is used for lowering and lifting loaded pallets from high storage areas. This model is recommended for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, like for instance warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires which make maneuvering easy.

Generally, the operator of this particular type of forklift stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design allows the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: one in the back, and two in the front. This configuration enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are some models of these forklifts that are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment can pivot to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the whole equipment. The sit-down version usually has four wheels.

Many narrow aisle forklifts are powered with an electric engine. Machines that are electrically powered are not noisy and do not make exhaust fumes, making them the suitable option for closed places like for example retail spaces. Several lifts come with a diesel engine or a gas engine. Then again, the diesel model is not suggested for indoor use as it could be noisy and produce exhaust.
