Operator Environment
Operators have an efficient and safe place to work from in the Spirit Delta cab. The specific design of the cab comes as a result of extensive study into the operators working conditions. The main objective is to be able to provide optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and huge glass areas unobstructed in order to keep the field of vision clear. The instrumental panel is ergonomically designed and is really comfortable and gently rounded. This area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all important info, in order to keep the operator functioning as efficiently as possible.
Noise levels and vibration controls are kept low due to the insulated mounting on the chassis. In order to maintain an optimal working position, the hydraulic controls and operator seat are all individually adjustable. Moreover, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for maximum comfort. There are 2 ergonomically positioned multi-functioned and easy to operate levers which are offered for the horn, window washers, windscreen wipers and gear changing.
A ventilation/heating unit guarantees a comfy cab temperature for the operator. The incoming air is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machine has a robust 3-speed fan for cooling, heating, recirculation and defrosting. As an additional option, air conditioning could be fitted.
Instrumentation
In the Spirit Delta, the instrument panel has logically grouped units which are all accessible. Standard instrumentation includes: low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, warning lamps, applied parking brake and high gearbox oil temperature. Furthermore, gauges display values for operating time, fuel quantity, engine coolant and gearbox oil pressure.
Amongst the key options the 8 to 10 tonne trucks could be outfitted with is the ECS or also called Electronic Control System monitoring. This enables for easy supervision of the model. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any errors that occur and their current values.
